NOMADS is dedicated to helping petroleum engineers, drilling equipment salesmen, and other energy professionals who work in the global oilfield industry.  It is one of the oldest petroleum societies in the United States and dates from the 1930s.  Over the decades, NOMADS has been helping oil and gas professionals network for jobs in energy, continue their education in the international oil and gas market, and build camaraderie with other petroleum sales professionals for over 80 years.

NOMADS has the added mission of helping young scholars who have an interest in the energy industry make their way through college.  Every year, NOMADS gives out a few scholarships to deserving young college bound students.  This petroleum club has a real interest in the future of the industry and the oilfield professionals in it.

Texas International Freight’s Oil and Gas Logistics services recently shipped these two massive Flow Tees on very short notice to the Far East by air freight. These flow tees are designed for the pipeline, specifically to allow maximum fluid flow through a branch connection as a pipeline pig or sphere passes the opening. Pipeline and Oilfield shipments are difficult for most freight companies to perform due to the necessary specialized knowledge and vendor relations. If your freight forwarder is not regularly involved in oil and gas logistics, trusting something like the pictured equipment with them is something only a professional gambler might like.

Blow out Preventer – Oil and Gas Logistics

Texas International Freight shipped this Blow Out Preventer under its oil and gas logistics program. Blow Out Preventers (BOP) are the last line of defense in an oil well blow out.  This piece of equipment weighs close to 35 tons.  Oil and Gas Logistics sometimes includes trucking and import services, as did this piece of oil well equipment.  The BOP was originally manufactured in the Czech Republic.  Texas International cleared customs with out import services, coordinated the terminal charges and port fees, and arranged for trucking to customer’s site.  Special crane use was required both at the port and at customer’s site.  Texas International Freight’s extensive experience with blow out preventer oil and gas logistics ensured that the shipment went according to plan.
