Less-Than-Container ( LCL ) is used for smaller freight loads such as pallets and crates. These smaller loads are not big enough to fill out an entire container. LCL shipments are consolidated into full containers with other pallets and crates, and then transported to the end destination after being deconsolidated at the destination port. Shipping LCL freight in this way offers significant savings over shipping the same smaller load in its own container or by shipping it by plane. Texas International Freight has volume contracts with courier services that allow us to offer prices with around 30% discounts. Very remote areas are not serviced, but most major destinations throughout the world are.
