The Dependable Freight Forwarder, Built in Houston. Trusted Worldwide.
Over a decade of specialized freight forwarding for heavy industry. Air, ocean, and truck logistics; tailored, licensed, and delivered on time.
More Than a Freight Forwarder. A Mission.
Texas International Freight was founded in Houston in 2010 with a clear purpose: to prove that a freight forwarding company could deliver exceptional service at competitive rates without sacrificing the personal attention that complex industrial shipments demand.
Houston was the natural home. As the energy capital of the world and one of the busiest port gateways in the Western Hemisphere, no city better understands the stakes involved in moving heavy equipment across borders. Oil rig components bound for the Persian Gulf.
Mining machinery destined for remote sites in sub-Saharan Africa. These are not standard shipments, and standard freight forwarders are not equipped to handle them.
We built Texas International Freight to fill that gap.
A Promise Made on Day One
From the beginning, our founding mission has been to identify and fulfill a need in the marketplace for a high-performance, cost-conscious, and responsible freight forwarder capable of serving the most demanding industrial operators in the US and around the world.
That mission has not changed. What has changed is our reach: from a boutique Houston operation into a globally connected logistics partner with active trade lanes across six continents, trusted by oil and gas companies, EPC contractors, energy developers, and heavy industry leaders to deliver their most critical cargo, on time, on budget, and in compliance.

Michael A. Dyll, CHB. Founder & President
Texas International Freight is founder-led. Michael Dyll, a licensed Customs House Broker with two decades of experience in international logistics, created this company not from a boardroom, but from a frontline understanding of what industrial operators actually need when they ship across borders.
Michael entered the freight industry in 2006, and over the years developed a specialized focus on the most technically demanding category in logistics: heavy-equipment and project-cargo forwarding for energy, mining, and industrial sectors. He founded Texas International Freight to build a company where that expertise was the core offering not an add-on service.
His credentials reflect a commitment to both practical knowledge and professional responsibility. As a federally licensed Customs House Broker, he ensures that every international shipment processed by Texas International Freight meets the full requirements of US Customs and Border Protection, eliminating clearance delays and compliance risk for clients.
In 2013, Michael was appointed by the Texas Transportation Commission to serve on the Texas Freight Advisory Committee (TxFAC), a body convened by the Texas Department of Transportation to guide the development of the Texas Freight Mobility Plan. Serving alongside representatives of the Port of Houston Authority, Union Pacific, and the Texas Trucking Association, he contributed directly to the framework that governs freight infrastructure investment across the state.
In 2025, Michael and Texas International Freight were recognized by X2 Logistics Networks one of the world’s leading project logistics networks with a Silver Medal in their global Top Performers ranking, acknowledging the company’s performance standards and reliability as an agent partner on the world stage. Michael’s approach to client relationships is direct and personal.
He has built a reputation among Houston’s industrial community for answering his own phone, being reachable during critical shipments, and bringing the kind of experienced judgment that complex logistics demands.
What Our Clients Say
Dependability
We do what we say we will do. Deadlines in heavy industry are not suggestions, they are contractual obligations. Our clients count on us to perform when it matters most, and we do not take that responsibility lightly.
Expertise
Moving a drilling rig across the Permian Basin requires a fundamentally different skill set than shipping a standard pallet. Our in-house team brings deep domain knowledge of heavy-equipment logistics, customs compliance, and project cargo coordination.
Honesty
We quote what we charge. We communicate what we know. When a shipment faces a challenge, a port delay, a customs complication, or a carrier issue, we tell you immediately and present solutions. No surprises, no hidden fees.
Hard work
Complex shipments do not solve themselves. Our team works relentlessly, coordinating across time zones, navigating regulatory requirements, and managing carriers and agents to ensure your cargo arrives as planned. Every time.
Whether you need to move a drilling rig, charter a vessel for breakbulk cargo, or build a multi-modal logistics plan for an EPC project, our Houston team is ready. We respond within 24 hours with a detailed, no-obligation quote.
