Mining Haul Truck Shipping

Mining haul truck prepared for heavy-haul and ocean freight

Shipping Mining Haul Trucks and Rigid Dump Trucks

You move a rigid-frame mining haul truck, and even a mid-size unit carries a body, chassis, and tires far too large for any container. Texas International Freight ships haul trucks worldwide from the US Gulf, usually broken into modules, as breakbulk and roll-on roll-off cargo, then coordinates reassembly at the mine. What are you moving?

How Ultra-Class Haul Trucks Ship

Most large haul trucks ship disassembled. The chassis, dump body, wheels and tires, engine, and cab travel as separate breakbulk pieces on flat racks and a multipurpose vessel, then reassemble at the site. Off-the-road tires alone can stand over four meters tall and ship as their own oversized cargo. Smaller rigid and articulated dump trucks can drive on and off by roll-on roll-off. We plan the split with your OEM so the pieces land in the right order. Autonomous haul trucks ship the same way, with their guidance and sensor systems protected in transit.

Reassembly and Inland Delivery

After discharge the modules move inland by heavy haul to the mine, where the OEM field team rebuilds the truck. We schedule the ocean and inland legs around that reassembly window and run the move alongside the rest of your mining equipment as coordinated project logistics.

Documentation and Customs

Each shipment needs a commercial invoice, a packing list, a bill of lading, and a certificate of origin, with an accurate Harmonized System code for the truck and its components. Our customs broker desk prepares the set, handles the export filing, and clears the cargo at destination.

Do haul trucks ship assembled or in pieces?

Large ultra-class haul trucks ship disassembled. The chassis, dump body, tires, engine, and cab move as separate breakbulk pieces and reassemble at the mine. Smaller rigid and articulated trucks can drive on and off by roll-on roll-off.

How do the giant tires ship?

Off-the-road haul truck tires can stand over four meters tall and ship as their own oversized breakbulk cargo, secured on a flat rack or in the vessel hold alongside the rest of the truck.

Do you coordinate reassembly at the mine?

Yes. We schedule the ocean and inland legs around the reassembly window and deliver the modules to the site so the OEM field team can rebuild the truck in the right order.

Can you deliver to a remote mine site?

Yes. After the ocean leg the modules move inland by heavy-haul trucking, with route surveys and permits for the oversized pieces, to mines far from the coast.

What documents does a haul truck shipment need?

A commercial invoice, a packing list, a bill of lading, and a certificate of origin, plus an accurate Harmonized System code for the truck and its major components. Our customs desk prepares the set and clears the cargo.
