Shipping Pressure Vessels and Distillation Columns
You move a distillation column, a reactor, or a large pressure vessel to a refinery or petrochemical plant, and the piece is long, heavy, and among the most demanding project cargo there is. Texas International Freight ships pressure vessels and columns worldwide from the US Gulf as breakbulk and heavy-lift project cargo. What are you moving?
Vessels We Ship
We ship distillation and fractionation columns, reactors, drums, absorbers, and heat exchanger shells, along with spheres shipped in segments for field assembly. A refinery column can run tens of meters long and weigh hundreds of tons, so it is engineered as a single heavy lift with the load-out and securement planned around it. We build the plan around the largest and heaviest vessel in the package.
How Big Vessels Ship
Large vessels move as breakbulk on a multipurpose vessel or on a chartered heavy-lift ship, with load-out by self-propelled modular transporter or barge where the piece is too large for a quay crane. Our crews handle export packing, cribbing, blocking and bracing, and lashing, and we run a full unit as coordinated project logistics.
Load-Out to Site and Customs
After discharge the vessel moves to the plant by heavy haul or modular transporter, with a route survey that clears the height, weight, and turns in advance. Each shipment needs a commercial invoice, a packing list, a bill of lading, and a certificate of origin, and our customs broker desk clears the cargo at destination.

What pressure vessels do you ship?
We ship distillation and fractionation columns, reactors, drums, absorbers, heat exchanger shells, and spheres shipped in segments for field assembly.
How does a tall distillation column ship?
A refinery column can run tens of meters long and weigh hundreds of tons, so it ships as a single heavy lift on a multipurpose or chartered heavy-lift vessel, with the load-out and securement engineered around it.
How do you load out an oversized vessel?
Where a piece is too large for a quay crane, we load it out by self-propelled modular transporter or barge, and plan the discharge port and berth around the lift.
Can you deliver the vessel to the plant?
Yes. After discharge the vessel moves by heavy haul or modular transporter with a route survey that clears the height, weight, and turns before the move.
What documents does the shipment need?
A commercial invoice, a packing list, a bill of lading, and a certificate of origin, plus an accurate Harmonized System code for each vessel. Our customs desk prepares the set and clears the cargo.
