Shipping Water Filtration Equipment

Industrial water filtration equipment and reverse osmosis skids being prepared for international shipping and crating from the Port of Houston.

Water Filtration Equipment Shipping for Industrial and Municipal Projects

You build or supply water treatment systems, and a project overseas needs the equipment on site and intact. How do you move membrane skids, pressure vessels, and tanks across the world without damage to the delicate internals? The answer shapes your install date and your budget.

Texas International Freight ships water filtration and treatment equipment from Houston and across the United States to projects worldwide. We handle the crating, the mode selection, and the export paperwork so your system reaches the site ready to commission.

Equipment We Move

We ship reverse osmosis skids, ultrafiltration and nanofiltration units, media and pressure filters, clarifiers, pumps, control panels, and the tanks that go with them. Some units fit a standard container, while large tanks and pre-assembled skids run oversized and ship as breakbulk or on flat-rack and open-top equipment.

Protecting Sensitive Components

Membranes, instrumentation, and control electronics do not tolerate shock, moisture, or temperature swings well. We use vibration-dampening dunnage, moisture barriers, and custom crates so the internals arrive calibrated and dry. Proper export packing is the difference between a clean startup and a warranty claim.

Choosing the Right Mode

Containerized units move as standard container shipping, while skid-mounted plants and large vessels move as breakbulk cargo. When a municipal or industrial project cannot wait for a vessel, we fly critical components by air freight while the main system sails.

Export Documentation and Clearance

We prepare the commercial invoice, packing list, and bill of lading, file your export information, and coordinate destination customs clearance. Accurate HS classification keeps duty predictable on filtration and pumping equipment.

One Forwarder From Plant to Project

As an FMC-licensed forwarder, we arrange the heavy haul to the Houston terminal, the ocean or air leg, and the inland delivery at destination. We also run the cross-border lanes to Mexico and Canada for North American projects.

Can you ship a fully assembled treatment skid?

Yes. A pre-assembled reverse osmosis or filtration skid often exceeds container dimensions, so it ships as breakbulk or on a flat rack with crating, blocking, and lashing. We survey the unit, plan the lift, and protect the membranes and instrumentation for the voyage.

How do you protect membranes and electronics in transit?

We use moisture barriers, desiccants, shock-absorbing dunnage, and sealed crates. Control panels and sensors are cushioned against vibration. The goal is a unit that arrives dry, calibrated, and ready to commission.

What does it cost to ship water treatment equipment overseas?

Cost depends on weight, dimensions, destination, and mode. A containerized pump set prices differently from a breakbulk clarifier. Send us the equipment list with sizes and weights and we return a routing and a quote.

Do you handle municipal and industrial project shipments?

Yes. We move equipment for municipal water plants, desalination projects, mining water systems, and oil and gas produced-water treatment, from single units to full project consignments coordinated on one schedule.

Can you ship spare parts quickly if a project stalls?

Yes. When a commissioning delay hinges on a missing pump, valve, or membrane element, we move the part by air freight to the nearest gateway while the main shipment continues by sea.
